I got curious how the Jacks would fill in the rest of their 2026 football schedule so I made a spreadsheet of possible opponents based on, number of open dates that the team has, and if they are available on the Jacks current open dates of: 8/29, 9/19, and 9/26. Due to the new 12 game scheduling rules their are tons of potential dancing partners. Based on the set OOC (New Haven at home on 9/5 and At Northwestern on 9/12) past trends I would say, pick your poison of an NEC or PFL team on the September 19th or 26th date, and the sky being the limit on the August 29th date (outside of a second FBS game). But what do you think, and who would you like to see? Available opponents by date below:

Need a good season opener, Villanova, Rhode Island or Mercer on 8.29. Then a nice Ivy league matchup with Yale or Penn the week after Northwestern
It’d be nice to have Tarleton not back out of a game in Brookings. Then, it’d be interesting to have first time opponent like Maine. I could see Sac State begging for a game too though
