Portal Additions

Photo by Hannah Owens of Jason Freeman, former transfer portal addition.

The portal works both ways and over the years the Jackrabbits have had tremendous success in supplementing the existing roster through the portal.  Isaiah Stalbird, Jason Freeman, Brian Williams, and John O’Brian were all huge roster additions that propelled the Jackrabbits to consecutive FCS championships.   While additions like Dawson Ripperda, Chase Mason, Sam Hagen, and Marcus Hicks will play huge roles for next year’s team,  In 2025, the Jackrabbits will have to do a bit more than supplement due to the nearly 2 dozen departures and due to a large graduating class.  Here are who the Jacks have added and  what is known about each portal addition.

This list will be updated as new portal additions are added.

  1. Got a good one here! Kid is a beast and extremely athletic for 6’5 295, will battle for a spot in the rotation!

  2. Jackrabbits got a great one in John Pica. Athletic, big, and very mobile, vocal leader. Will fight for minutes!

  3. Just watched some film of Graham Eben, tons of raw potential, the speed for his size is incredible. Good hands, quick feet, strong frame. Could play safety or linebacker, got to love what we are seeing incoming.

  4. With the loss of Durrance Reeder Large Ridley Eben could step in and start right away his Dad was a beast at USF in my era and generation.

  5. I kinda hope we look around the area D2s. They clearly have some guys who can play D1 football,as we say with augie this fall.

    1. These are just simply the transfer portal additions. Matt usually does a separate recruiting roundup in the spring/summer.
